Bye bye Bonseu?
March 8, 2005

According to BigAppleSoccer.com and confirmed by MetroFanatic, the Metros are about to release defender Tenywa Bonseu. Bonseu, an Uganda international, has only spent a year with the Metros after being acquired from Dallas for Steve Jolley. He was beaten out for a starting spot in central defense by draftee Jeff Parke, and then re-emerged as a right back later in the year, before an injury ended his season. However, his status as a senior international is the biggest drawback to Bonseu staying with Metro; it is obvious that Bob Bradley would like to use the international slots with as big a flexibility as possible.
